Well it is believed that it started at a wedding and they only had tissues for decorations so they folded the tissues into shapes and animals another theory says that when the Chinese invented paper and took it to Japan they got bored on the way so folded paper. I choose to believe theory 1 than 2 but you can decide what you want to believe. By the way "origami" means "Fold paper" (Ori = Fold and Kami / Gami = Paper).
