Unbelievable, I was bored so I started to play Chess on my computer. Towards the end of the game, I moved my rook to the end of the board. I had checkmated a computer!

There's 3 languages I want to fluent in they are: French, Chinese and Indonesian. I am currently learning French because I want to have a challenge when it comes to spelling. I want to learn (Mandarin) Chinese because of the benefits of learning it. E.g. Many businesses hire people who speak Mandarin. I also want to learn Indonesian because Indonesia is close to Australia and is similar to Malay.

I believe Hiragana is easy or hard depending on what method you use to learn it. If you're a student learning Japanese or want to know how to pronounce those symbols on a Japanese menu I would recommend JapanesePod101's Kantan Kana. I used it and can read Hiragana well. After learning Hiragana it is easy to learn Katakana because they're both simplified cursive Chinese Characters.

I think the easiest writing system to learn is the Korean alphabet called 'hangul'. I learned to read it after a long time trying to learn Hiragana. I found Hiragana hard to memorise and decided that Hangul's 24 letters and 27 logical digraphs was much easier. It is read in syllables of 2-4 letters in each block.

I used this youtube video and worksheet with it. After that I quizzed myself on each letter. Then I practiced reading it.
